On March 13, 2007, the Board of County Commissioners voted 5-0 to approve the development of 130 homes on the ranch (L&L Acres) across Lake Mary Blvd. The entrance will be at the cut-through located between Heathrow Dr. and Tournament Dr.

There was a lot of good news for our community. First, it appears that Heathrow and the new developer will be installing complete landscaping on the medians on Lake Mary Blvd. from Heathrow to Markham Woods Road including crepe myrtles and such.

It is not yet specified when the construction will begin, but the developer, James Dicks, will be building a home for he and his family in the new development so he's committed to protecting as much of the natural environment as possible.
